Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson Join “The Conjuring”

James Wan has found his two lead cast members for The Conjuring, the new supernatural thriller announced last year.

The picture will reunite Wan with his Insidious star Patrick Wilson, and Vera Farmiga (The Departed, Orphan).

In the 1970s, the Perrons lived in a Rhode Island that was claimed to have been a portal for friendly and evil spirits. This account was the subject of a book entitled “House of Darkness, House of Light: The True Story” by Andrea Perron.

Chad and Carey Hayes penned the script, which was originally set up in 2009 at Summit Entertainment. The project is now set up at New Line.

The Hayes brothers previously penned House of Wax, The Reaping and Whiteout.

Hello! My first update Patrick Wilson Fan, my name is Lindsey and I will be helping out Michelle with the site. I am really excited since I love Patrick. You may know me from my sites such as Rachel McAdams Online and Goslingfan.com.

In the next weeks I am going to try to catch up on the missing updates and get the gallery up-to-date again. Today I am starting with close to 150 photos of Patrick during the world premiere of “Young Adult” held on December 8, 2011.

Patrick in St. Petersburg with Band for Fundraiser

St. Petersburg, Florida – “A Gifted Man” is CBS’ hottest new fall series and the show’s lead character, Patrick Wilson, was back in town Saturday night.

The Tampa Bay native was playing on stage in front of a sold out crowd at a club called LOCAL 662 in St. Petersburg. Wilson played the drums while his brothers Mark and Paul also performed on stage with him in a band named “Van Wilson.”

The event was held as a fundraiser to raise money for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic.

Patrick Wilson says, “I feel like if you can do something you’re passionate about and have a great time you know then it doesn’t feel like a dinner when everyone is in suits and ties and you’re giving money.”

Wilson adds, “Those events are certainly important. But for us if you can get the common person that may just want to come out and have a good time and hear some music and give to charity – especially a very noble one like the free clinic – then we’re in good shape.”

Organizers say it’s fitting that the band is raising money for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, because Dr. Holt, the character Patrick plays on “A Gifted Man,” leaves his private practice to help a free clinic.
